Today is Club Day “B”

With the second semester of club schedule underway, students are eager to get involved in their new clubs. After the first semester each student selected two new clubs from the assortment of clubs the teachers created. The club schedule is held twice a month with one A Day and one B Day. There are approximately 12 students from all grade levels in each club. This new program provides students with the opportunity to explore areas they are interested in, collaborate with students in different grades, and build important skills they need for the future. It allows students to be involved in activities outside of their regular classes.

Teachers created new and exciting clubs this semester while also bringing back last semester’s favorites. In AP Biology Club students jumped right into a dissection the first day they met, while in English SAT Club students learned about the key components of the SAT Reading and Writing and Language portion to ensure they will be prepared for test day. In Coloring Club, students used colored pencils to fill in the designs on patterned hearts while in Lego Club students were hard at work building all different types of structures out of Legos. Students in Acrylic Painting Club created landscape paintings and learned new techniques to use. The first B Day for the second semester is today and all the students are excited to attend these clubs for the first time.
