College Decisions

As the May 1st national deadline for all college decisions fast approaches, more and more Saint Rose seniors have started to finalize their plans for next year. One such senior is Amanda Herro, who has decided to attend The Pennsylvania State University next fall. She is ecstatic to be joining the PSU Class of 2022, and is anxiously awaiting the start of her college career. Amanda sat down with the Courier to answer some questions about her decision process and becoming a Nittany Lion next year.

TC: What made you decide to attend this college?

AH: The school has a good balance of sports, social life, and academics. It’s also within a great driving range of home.

TC: When did you know that Penn State was the school for you?

AH: I always knew I wanted to go there. There’s no way you can’t love Penn State.

TC: Are you attending the school with any other Saint Rose seniors?

AH: Karyn Capotorto is also attending Penn State next year.

TC: What do you plan to major in?

AH: Biological studies with a Pre-Medicine track.

TC: What about next year are you most looking forward to?

AH: I am really looking forward to lecture halls, football games, and meeting new friends!

TC: What has been your favorite part of your experience at Saint Rose High School?

AH: Definitely joining the cheer team and meeting my best friends.

Best of luck to Amanda in continuing her academic career at Penn State next fall! Go Nittany Lions!
