Senior Cheerleaders

Behind every great school’s basketball team is an amazing cheerleading team, and here at Saint Rose, our cheerleading team is exactly that. On Thursday, February 22 our team’s senior cheerleaders were honored for all of their time, hard work, and dedication that they have put in throughout their four years here at Saint Rose High School. The seniors this year include Amanda Herro, Dara Johnson, Julia Slattery, Addy Hood, Molly Richards, and co-captains Emily Brown and Karyn Capotorto. Their senior day began with the girls walking into school to find all of their lockers had been decorated by the the freshman and junior cheerleaders in Saint Rose colors as well as pictures of them and friends throughout their season.

Next, throughout their school day the underclassmen and coaches decorated Ms. Mantlick’s class room with all different kinds of goodies and balloons to celebrate. They also had balloons and decorated signs for each of the seniors hung up in the gym. They then welcomed the seniors after everything was completed to start the celebration and take pictures. Then they went to the game where they cheered, and performed, and were honored during the halftime of the game with senior boys on the basketball team. There, each senior was called out one by one and had the opportunity to take a picture with each of their families and at this moment everyone in the gym could feel just how happy and appreciated the seniors had felt by all of the smiles on their faces. Lastly, at the end of the game the basketball team and cheer team went on to pray together for the last time and the boys gave all of the cheerleaders flowers as a thank you for all that they have done for the team throughout the year. Congratulations Seniors!
