Honors Convocation

On the night of Thursday April 26th, 2018, members of the Saint Rose High School community gathered in the Saint Rose Church to celebrate many students from our school.  The reason for this special night is to induct the new members into the World Language Honors Society along with the giving of science fair awards and honoring a few other students.

The service began with the procession of the new members of the Language Honors Society.  After Mrs. Collin, the new Saint Rose High School campus minister, led the students in prayer, the honoring began.  First, Mrs. Kain led the new members of the Language Honors Society as they made their promises to the club with the “Profession of Trust”.  After each member was called up by name, they became official members of the Saint Rose Language Honors Society.

Next, three members of the Lab Assistants Club were honored for their devotion.  They were each given small gifts to show that all their hard work with the science department has been appreciated.

Finally, the Forensics Science, Honors Physics, and Honors Chemistry Science Fair awards were presented by Mrs. Hand, Mrs. Canning, and Mr. Tonero.  After weeks of hard work, groups and individuals were honored with many different awards. They each had the opportunity to be named with the honorable mention spot, third place, second place, or first place.

All the students that were honored on this night represent the academic success that Saint Rose High School students possess.  Congratulations to all the new members of the Language Honors Society, those recognized for their devotion to the Laboratory Assistants, and all those who succeeded in 2018 Science Fair!
